Mrs. Janette D. Macias, M.A., is a bilingual (English/Spanish speaking) Licensed Professional Counselor. Janette received her B.S. in Psychology from the University of Florida, and completed a Master’s of Arts in Mental Health Counseling at Boston College. Janette has clinical experience providing linguistically and culturally competent therapeutic services, working with child and adolescent behavior issues, PTSD, stress, anxiety, and family relationship difficulties. She has experience using various approaches including creative/expressive therapy, art therapy, structural family therapy, and family systems therapy. Janette’s areas of clinical focus include but are not limited to working with children and teens in crisis, individuals and couples going through life transitions and adjustments, including those struggling with gender dysphoria and going through the process of gender re-assignment or transitions. She has also worked with domestic violence clients and victims of trauma.
